We spend a good part of our lives in the office and, over time, our desks become a time capsule of our corporate selfs. Piled among printed decks and unsubmitted expense reports, we find a few hand-picked objects that make our desks, well, our own.
“Desk Job” looks at the personal objects that adorn office desks. Ornaments, trophies and mementos that give us a hint of the tastes and personalities of the people who keep them.
Stripped out of context and photographed in a studio setting, these objects cease to exist as props to become the protagonists of their own stories. Our role is to fill in the blanks.
